Llanengan Parish Heritage group

Established, when we realised that the younger generation did not know the correct names of places and had invented their own names, mostly in English which had no connection with history. 

Eleanor Jones lately of Nantmor, Abersoch lent her late father's collection of old photographs of the Parish.  We copied hundreds of photographs and we have a vast collection of photographs and artefacts.  Up to the Covid period we had an exhibition in the Village Hall for a fortnight. We hope to have an exhibition in the summer of 2024.

The purpose of our Hertiage group is to keep the history  for the next generation and  to remind and inform visitors and people who have moved here to settle, what the correct names are for our beaches,  paths, and places and see how things were, lest we forgot.
